Design Considerations/Best Practices
Please consider the following:
- Heading levels should not be skipped. The Heading Checker tool can help with this.
- Do not use headings just to make text larger. Only use headings to introduce a section of related content.
- Heading styles should be consistent to make the page and course more readable for students.
- Consistent use of icons in headings can help students navigate content more quickly.
Legacy Comparison
In the legacy version, heading styles were bound to DesignPLUS themes. In the new DesignPLUS Sidebar, the Text tool and Custom Headings tool allow you to customize heading styles by heading level and do so independent from Themes or Banner Title headers.
