Steps for Success
Step 1: Introductions
Meet your instructor
Nicole Mace
Teacher
To schedule a meeting, please email me.
Hi! I'm honored to be your instructor. I've been an educator for 13 years, with a Master's degree in Education. I hope to connect with each of my students and be an encouraging guide in your college career. In my free time, I love to read, travel with my husband, and play with my daughter.
Step 2: Syllabus
Read the syllabus and course summary
The syllabus will provide you with important information such as course details, instructor information, course requirements, course learning outcomes, grading and late work policies, and expectations for discussion board participation. Additionally, you can view important institutional policies and procedures, including information about netiquette and academic integrity. At the bottom of the syllabus page, you may also view the course summary. Please read the syllabus and course summary carefully, and contact your instructor if you have any questions.Step 3: Textbooks
For the course, you will not need to purchase textbooks:
- This is an Open Education Resource (OER) course. All materials are found in the CGS 100 DE Canvas course.
- OER reference: Schmitz, A. (2012). College success. Saylor Academy. Retrieved March 13, 2019, from https://saylordotorg.github.io/text_college-success/index.html
