  • Pulling release notes directly into the sidebar

Updated or Modified Features

 Accessibility updates

Here are a few of the accessibility tweaks included in this month's release:

Design Tools
  • Fix role attribute for module progress bars
Multi-Tool
  • Adjust color contrast for some of the default Bootstrap alerts and buttons
  • Heading levels adjustments
  • Add/adjust labels for inputs in several of the tools
  • Increase text size for some of the small buttons

Bug Fixes

 iframe Resizing

Address an issue where the RCE would revert the width on some iframes when the page was saved.

 More MathJax tweaking for accordions

Adjusted the code to identify when Canvas has converted math equations to images so that the creation of accordions and other dynamic elements does not interfere.

Note: We will continue to make adjustments to try to keep this working but Canvas has changed their code in the last few months and it is not the type of code changes that make it into the Canvas release notes. So, just be aware that Canvas will likely break this again in the future.

Customizing Banner Text for Unnamed Content

This update address an issue that occured when users used the Customize Banner Text tool and a brand new page that did not yet have anything in the Canvas title field.

 Syllabus Templates on Front Page

The Copy Existing Content tool now includes the list of syllabus templates when the syllabus is set as the course front page.
