Here, you will find our release notes, chronicling the additions and modifications we have made to the NextGen ReadyGO product.

New Resources

New User Guide Resources

As the tools and functionality of ReadyGO continue to grow and expand, so does the User Guide. This is the newest addition:

Reports - The Reports tab allows you to generate and view reports for your Batches, providing insights into things like Task Completion, Course Status, and Alerts currently, or across different time intervals. Reports can also be exported for further analysis or sharing.

New Use Cases

If you are trying to make a case to stakeholders and instructors as to why transitioning to the new ReadyGO (or purchasing it at all) is beneficial for your institution, we've created a couple use cases to aid you in your efforts.

New Features

Team Admins can successfully Archive and Un-Archive Batches.

General Improvements

All Help links in the Manage tab have been redirected to the new ReadyGO User Guide.
The hours data in the Total Instructor Activity column on the Courses Table is formatted with commas for any courses with 1,000+ hours of activity.
The Manage Columns tray has been updated so ReadyGO columns are first followed by DesignPLUS, UDOIT, and TidyUP columns.
Sample Data Mode has also been improved so that the data on the Dashboard is more varied.
As users add large numbers of courses to a Batch, a processing spinner is visible to acknowledge that the system is actively adding the courses.
Users that have not been added to ReadyGO will now see an Unauthorized Access page, and their information will not be added to the People tab in an effort to keep the People Table clean for Admins. As a reminder, users that have tried to access ReadyGO without access did not see any data, but their name displayed to indicate they had tried to log in. Now they will be redirected to a page that shows them they do not have access. Instructors in courses with the Instructor Tool enabled do not need to be added to ReadyGO; they can access the appropriate information from within their Canvas course.

Bug Fixes

The Alerts: Grading Scheme criterion is more user-friendly, and now has option to match Default, Custom, and Not Set statuses.
[NOTE]: Work is being done to ensure that the Grading Scheme column matches the correct status.
The Assign Users to a Task function now displays all users that have access to the course. Also, these users are alphabetized.
Completing a Task no longer triggers the Unread Activity icon on the Courses Table; only Checklists that have comments added will display Unread Activity.
The Instructor Tool should now correctly install in courses users have selected to enable it in. Instructors can now see the correct view for their course without having to access the ReadyGO application. The tool should automatically update for Canvas Instructors; however, if the Instructor Tool was removed from within the Canvas course, you will need to disable the tool in ReadyGO and enable it again.
Links in Task Descriptions are visually hyperlinked.
ReadyGO Admins will now see that the SIS ID column in the CSV Export is accurately populated with N/A if a course does not have a value here; there is more work being done to ensure that all users see this fix as well.
Selecting a Task from the Tasks tray on the Courses Table in Sample Data Mode will no longer cause an error.
When adding courses to a Batch, the +Courses button and Find Courses table is responsive on small screens.

Our support team has developed several new knowledge base articles (KBA) to make sure all of our amazing customers have access to the newest information and answers to common questions.

KBA - Can we share a record of communications regarding checklists with someone who doesn't have access to ReadyGO?

KBA - How do I disable the legacy ReadyGO now that we have migrated to the new ReadyGO?

KBA - How do I view the column definitions in Cidiscape?
[NOTE]: Viewing the definitions for columns in ReadyGO is the same as viewing the definitions for columns in Cidiscape.

New Features

The feature we've all been waiting for...In the top Navigation, you will now see a Reports tab! This tool gives you the ability to select the Batch(es) and duration you want to pull and view data for, and export the data to a CSV. Select each Report type to see a preview and learn more.

General Improvements

We've made improvements to the accessibility of ReadyGO to ensure that the Manage tabs are responsive. These accessibility adjustments also include updates to the Batches Table that correct keyboard focus. Accessibility isn't the only thing we improved in the Manage tab; Alerts have been tweaked so that as you shift the order in Settings, that same order is reflected on the Courses Table and the Dashboard.

There's also a UDOIT Scoring column that can now be added to the Courses Table via Filters > Add Column.

Finally, we've upgraded how bulk course deletions are handled in Batches to make the process overall smoother and more efficient.

Bug Fixes

Accessing Task Activity and Comments from the Tasks tab no longer results in an error.
The Filter tray opens to the correct options view, even after clearing out filters in the pill tabs.
The Courses Table now reflects unread Task Comments accurately within the Checklists column.
[NOTE]: There is a known bug that triggers this unread Task Comment badge when tasks are marked complete.
The Export Instructors to CSV option available in Legacy is now available in the new version of ReadyGO under Bulk Actions on the Courses Table.
The Total Instructor Activity column correctly displays "1h" for any time frame beginning with 1 hour.
Personal Tasks display within the Task tab when created rather than vanishing like a great magician.
The Task Runners link in the Manage tab has been updated to redirect users to the correct location in the User Guide.
Sample Data Mode
- Users can add and edit Alerts, and they will function properly in all areas of this view.
- Adding or editing a Checklist will no longer cause other Checklists to disappear in this view.

Sample Data Mode is intended to showcase the capabilities of ReadyGO to stakeholders or for video recordings without displaying any actual student data. Make sure you are not in this view when trying to make changes to your ReadyGO environment; any changes you make in this mode will be reset upon refresh or next login.

General Improvements

The scanning queue has been updated so that scanning a single course is prioritized over bulk batch scans so users can get the most accurate data for a single course they are actively working on.
The User Guide link on the product Welcome page has been updated to link to this new User Guide rather than the Legacy User Guide.
We've made several accessibility improvements across the user interface, including keyboard focus in Chats and responsive columns. You'll likely notice that the Dashboard Widgets use patterns where previously the only differentiation was a color.
We've made some improvements to the course CSV imports into Batches.

Feature Updates

The Instructor Tool has received some general improvements to ensure that the view is cohesive and simple.
The Last Activity Date and Total Instructor Activity columns on the Courses Table have been updated to include a timestamp and an hour / minute format respectively to have parity with Legacy ReadyGO.
Our developers are currently addressing an oddity when the Total Activity is 1 hour. A fix is coming soon!
Terms now sort by date, then alphabetically.

Bug Fixes

Adding users to ReadyGO will not display an error message due to an extra space or empty line.
Checklists with many tasks will wrap in the column on the Courses Table instead of spilling over into the neighboring column.
Creating and using filters based on Status will no longer crash the application.
Instructor Activity column data accurately populates with the ReadyGO Task Runner.
If the Instructor Tool is enabled on a course, ReadyGO users with correct permissions can assign a Task to the course's Instructor(s) without having to add them to the ReadyGO application.
The issue in which admin users were sometimes not able to add People has been resolved.
We've resolved the issue with the Grading Schemes Alert. Currently, the Alert will tell you if a Grading Scheme is set or not set. Please note that Custom Grading Schemes will display as set.

Known Issue

Users have reported inaccurate Alerts for Grading Schemes in the Courses Table. Our developers are actively addressing this issue, and we will update you when it is resolved.

KBA - How Can I Use ReadyGO to Integrate First-Year Experience (FYE) Materials into Canvas Courses?

General Improvements

For users that are using the Chat feature, we have made enhancements to the Rich Content Editor (RCE) so that as you enable text formatting tools (e.g., B / I / U or links), the formatting buttons clearly indicate which tool(s) is enabled as you type.

Additionally, we have made some updates to the Assigned Users column on the Courses Table so that every column is uniform and have the same font style and color.

Updated Feature

Users with appropriate permissions can adjust the instructor visibility of added Checklists added to courses. Now, when an admin user makes an adjustment to instructor visibility and publishes the change from Manage Checklists, they will see a notice asking if they would like to Override Visibility Settings on Course Checklists.

If the override is enabled, all Checklists added to courses that have been modified will be updated. Leaving the override disabled keeps any instructor visibility modifications to a Checklist added to a course.

Bug Fixes

Adjustments were made to ensure that Task Runners were being saved correctly.
Developers have addressed an issue so that Alerts will accurately report data for Modules and Syllabi using DesignPLUS.
Using Sample Data to demonstrate the Bulk Actions > Message Instructors feature populates instructor names in the To: field from the Courses Table.
