Importing resources from the Library requires a in your course.
NOTICE: When creating a DesignPLUS customization page, you must include the square brackets in the page title.
Instructions
- If you do not already have the needed customizations page in your course, create a new page. Otherwise, go to the existing customizations page.
- If you've created a new page, name the page with the customization title that matches the type of resource you are importing,
- Launch the DesignPLUS Sidebar.
- Go to More Options > User Settings.
- Check the list of advanced tools and ensure that DesignPLUS Library is enabled.
- Go to the Advanced tab and open the DesignPLUS Library tool.
- The DesignPLUS Library tool will only be available if you are editing a customizations page as indicated by the prefix in square brackets.
- If the editor is blank, then opening the Library tool should add content to the editor (except for [Template] pages).
- Find the resource you wish to import and select the resource button. This should add the resource content to the editor.
- Save the page but do not publish it so it is not visible to students.
The resource will now be available in the corresponding tool while using the Sidebar in your course! (e.g. [Content Blocks] will be available in the Content Block tool)
Customization Page Titles
- [Banner Images]
- Images with width to height dimensions of roughly 10:3 to be used as a page banner. Images must be publicly hosted.
- [Banner Title Styles]
- Introduce the page with an eye-catching page title.
- [Content Blocks]
- Sections of prebuilt and/or pre-styled content to build a page.
- [Heading Styles]
- A custom style for each content heading level (h2 - h6).
- [HTML Snippets]
- Pieces of reusable code to drop anywhere on the page.
- [Link Grid Styles]
- Styles to apply specifically to link grid navigation menus.
- [Quick Styles]
- CSS classes and inline style combinations that can quickly be applied to individual page elements.
- [Template]
- Full page designs that can be copied directly onto any other page. Make sure to add the name of the template to the page title. For example, "[Template] Home Page 1"
- [Themes]
- A cohesive style for banner title, banner image, link grid, and headings (h1 - h6).
