Module Learning Objectives
Including measurable module-level learning objectives allows you to meet the requirements of QM standards 2.2, 2.3, and 2.5.
SRS 2.2: The module-level learning objectives describe outcomes that are measurable and consistent with the course-level objectives.
SRS 2.3: Learning objectives are clearly stated, are learner-centered, and are prominently located in the course.
SRS 2.5: The learning objectives are suited to and reflect.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
MO1. Describe module objective 1 using a measurable action verb from Bloom's taxonomy and matching it with a concept from your course (CO1).
MO2. Describe module objective 2 using a measurable action verb from Bloom's taxonomy and matching it with a concept from your course (CO2).
MO3. Describe module objective 3 using a measurable action verb from Bloom's taxonomy and matching it with a concept from your course (CO2, CO3). Action Item: MODULE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: After replacing the text with your measurable learning objectives, consider including the course objective number in parenthesis to show alignment with your module-level learning objectives. If you need assistance creating measurable learning objectives, please use Bloom's Taxonomy to assist with pairing action verbs with concepts from your lesson. Links to an external site.
Lesson Alignment
Including a table demonstrating how the module's learning objectives, assessments, activities, and instructional materials are aligned is an excellent way to meet the requirements of QM standards 2.4 and 4.2.
SRS 2.4: The relationship between learning objectives, learning activities, and assessments is made clear.
SRS 4.2: The relationship between the use of instructional materials in the course and completion of learning activities and assessments is clearly explained.
Additionally, linking course components such as each module, assessment, and activity helps to meet the requirement of QM standard 8.1.
SRS 8.1: Course navigation facilitates ease of use.
In this table, the Module's learning objectives, assessments, activities, and instructional materials are outlined to show alignment. Action Item: LESSON ALIGNMENT TABLE: Replace the table's text with the name of your module, assessment(s), activities, and instructional materials. Update the module's learning objectives with the correct number of objectives explored in this module. To show alignment, include the number of each module-level learning objective each assessment, activity, and instructional material is aligned to in parenthesis. You might also consider linking the assessments, activities, and instructional materials for direct access to their respective pages.
